How we treat God (In Disney refrences)

Nemo
Nemo goes out into the sea to touch the boat, even though Marlin tells him not to.
We sometimes test God's patience in this way.

Why do you call me "Lord" but you do not keep my commandments?  Luke 6:46

Simba
In "The Lion King" there is that scene with samba hopping around on hippos and he JUST CANNOT WAIT TO BE KING. We are like that with God, we can't wait to go to heaven, so much so, we tend to ignore God like simba ignores Zazu. What happens to simba? He falls in the hyena lair and his dad has to save him. We fall into a bad spot (just where Zazu told us not to go) and we expect God to save us.

 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. Colossians 3:23

Scar
In the Lion King there is a scene where Scar has taken over Pride Rock and is now the king of the animals. He has a little cave from Which he rules and he sits in the middle and he puts Zazu in a cage in the corner. While he's sitting there he thinks he's a big shot, ruling the world. Scar gets bored, he pokes Zazu over there with a stick and orders him to sing. Sometimes we treat God like scar treats Zazu. We think we are on top of the world and we don't need God. We get bored and we go poke around the bible for a second, ordering God to sing for us.

  You were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.1 Corinthians 6:20

Comment and tell me what times are good for a bible study here and we can figure something out!

James 1:2-4 (Thursdays chat verse)

Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance must do its complete work, so that you may mature and complete, lacking nothing.

Ezekiel 36:36 (For team Detroit)

Then the nations that remain around you will know that I, the LORD have rebuilt what was destroyed and have replanted what was desolate. I, the LORD have spoken and I will do it.

Psalms 107:5-8

They were hungry and thirsty;
Their spirits failed within them.
They cried out to the Lord in their trouble;
He rescued them from distress.
He led them by the right path to go to a city where they could live.
Let them give thanks to the LORD for his faithful love and his wonderful works for ALL HUMANITY.

Psalm 112:1

Happy is the man who fears the Lord, taking great delight in his commands.

1 Timothy 4:8-10

For the training of the body has a limited benefit, but godliness  is beneficial in every way, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance.
In fact we labor and strive for this, because we have put our hope in the living GOD, who is the savior of everyone, especially those who believe.
